Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Exam (JEECE) is conducted by JCECE Boardfor admission in 1st year B.E / B.Tech Degree courses offered by the various government and private universities and institutions affiliated under the JCECE board.

Residential Criteria: The applicant must be a citizen of India and Local / Permanent resident of Jharkhand. A Applicant will have to submit/show Permanent or Local Resident certificate in proper format in ORIGINAL at the time of counselling, issued by competent authority [Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State]. The Residential Certificate issued by any other authority will not be considered and his/her claim will be refused.
Educational Qualification (Engineering): The candidate must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry subject AND has obtained at least 45 % marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Age Limit: B.E./B. Tech. - No maximum/ minimum age limit
Physical Criteria: Medical Checkup of Applicants recommended for admission in all courses will be done by the Board and/or Institution and after check-up, only fit Applicant will be treated as eligible for admission.
The entrance test consists of objective type questions. There are 50 questions in each subject - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Language of question paper is English and Hindi. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
The JEECE is conducted at Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad. You have to select two convenient towns as centres for the Entrance Test. The Board reserves its discretion to allot a center other than the applicant’s choice.
