Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts HPCET in offline mode in the second week of May. Admissions to the participating institutes are offered on the basis of HPCET and JEE Main scores. Those candidates who have qualified JEE Main are eligible for direct admissions.

Academic Qualification: You should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised board or university. You should have studied Mathematics and Physics and compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects - Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects.
Marks Required: General category candidates should have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 (or equivalent) exam while candidates belonging to reserved category should have secured minimum 40% marks.
JEE Main: Candidates who have qualified JEE Main examination are not required to attempt the HPCET examination. These candidates are eligible for direct admissions.
