With the objective of making it one of the top international educational institutions, the Indian Institute of Technology's (IIT) Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to allow students from nine countries to directly appear for JEE (advanced).

  1. UAE
  2. Maldives
  3. Nepal
  4. Bangladesh
  5. Afghanistan
  6. Sri Lanka
  7. Bhutan
  8. Singapore
  9. Ethiopia

Exam centres will be set up in these countries. The cost of admission will be recovered from the foreign student and the government will not bear any expense on account of foreign students. Same facilities will be provided to them as that of Indian students.
